Privacy policy

Plain English. We collect what we need to run the marketing site and the hosted trial. Nothing more.
Trial only
The hosted environment at play.platos.dev is a trial. It is for evaluation, not production. Conversations may be reset. No warranties, express or implied. Do not store secrets, customer data, or anything you cannot afford to lose.
Production hosting is a separate conversation. Talk to us if you want help shipping a real workload.
What we collect
- Email address. Used to authenticate you on
play.platos.devand to reply to forms you submit on this site. Stored by us and by our auth and email vendors (see sub-processors below). - Conversation logs on the trial. Messages, tool-call arguments, and tool results you generate on
play.platos.dev. Retained for 30 days, then purged. Used only to run the trial and debug bugs you report. - First-party site analytics. Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for site health (page loads, vitals). Aggregated, not tied to a profile.
- Opt-in product analytics. PostHog, only after you accept the cookie banner. Used to understand which docs pages and product surfaces are useful.
- Form submissions. Anything you type into the contact, consulting, or feature-request forms is delivered to us via Resend. We read it, reply, and archive it in our inbox.
What we do not collect
- Self-hosted runtime data. If you run Platos on your infrastructure, we never see it. Conversations, memory, tool calls, telemetry, all stay on your stack.
- Conversation content if you decline analytics. The product analytics opt-in is exactly that. Decline and we do not record per-event behavior.
- We do not sell data. Ever.
- We do not train models on your content.Trial conversations are not fed into model training, ours or our providers'.
Retention
- Trial conversations: purged 30 days after last activity.
- Form submissions: kept while we are talking, then archived. You can request deletion at any time.
- Site analytics: aggregated, retained per Vercel and PostHog defaults.
Your rights (GDPR + CCPA)
You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of any data we hold about you. Use the contact formwith subject line "data request" and we will respond within 30 days. We will verify the request comes from the email on file before acting on it.

Cookies
First-party only. One cookie remembers your consent choice for the analytics opt-in. Analytics cookies are loaded only after you opt in via the banner. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Platos is a developer tool. The trial is not intended for users under 16. If you believe we hold data on a minor, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced in the changelogwith at least 30 days' notice. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
